Usually i wouldn’t bother to preview such a game, but when looking at this from a betting perspective, i think there is some fantastic value to be had.
Manchester United won the league last weekend after defeating the mighty (!) Aston Villa 3-0 at Old Trafford. Arsenal want to ensure they finish top 4 or the men upstairs will be bitterly disappointed. Sir Alex Ferguson has made it clear he’ll be using some fringe first team players from now until the end of the season, but when you think who those fringe players are (Hendandez, Nani, Cleverley) – you cant be put off by that.
Manchester United are out to try and beat Jose Mourinho’s point scoring record (95 points), to do so they need to win every remaining game of the season, so you know Manchester United will be up for it. With Spurs dropping 2 points yesterday with a draw against Wigan yesterday, a little pressure is off Arsenal, but a win here should cement their top 4 status, even a draw would be useful.
Here are some stats to back up Manchester United to win today:
Manchester United have lost just once in 11 games against Arsenal
Manchester United have a 79.4% win rate this season, with an average of 2.47 points-per-game-average.
13-5 with Stanjames on Manchester to win is a huge price. Saying that, i thought the 5/2 on Manchester United to beat their bitter rivals Manchester City was big, and they let me down. This is now the time for them to pay me back. Get on chaps, Fergie owes us.
