Tipsy Tipster Monday Horse Racing Tips

My word. Cirrus didn’t look up to it over in Chantilly, and the 2nd horse i put up just refused to quicken and overtake the eventual winner. Depressing Sunday for horse racing.

Things only got worse when my -8 Uruguay bet didn’t come off. Had a decent at 13/8 with Bet365 only to see a missed penalty, and a Henandez miss an easy tap in to ruin my bet. Yes, the score was 8-0. That pretty much sums up my week (and month). We all go through tough periods in betting, where we seemingly coudln’t tip a waiter if we tried. This comes off the back of my most profitable Cheltenham ever (£5K+ up in 3 days).

Nevermind. As a punter you need to take it on the chin and move on. Stakes are reduced until i hit a rich vain of form(which i will, i always do), with that in mind, i’m going to put up a little double for Monday’s racing.

Enchanted Garden 19:50 Thirsk 7/4 Bet365 & Chocamoca 21:20 Thirsk 5-1 Bet365.

Enchanted Garden looked a smart performer last time when landing a decent race at Newcaslte, beating Maska Pony by 3lengths. This race isn’t any stronger than that he took part in last time, and could well follow up under a 6 lb penatly that looks manageable to overcome.

Chocamoca is my cliff horse of the month. He has undoubted ability, but is becoming frustrating for backers to follow. I was on the last 3 runs, all 2nds, all in really close, epic finishes where he was beaten in the shadow of the post. I would of said the same thing the last twice, but surely this MUST be his time to finally get back into the winners enclosure? He’s up a pound for his head defeat last time, which shouldn’t put any further strain on a horse that is enjoying himself. He can win if he wants, so it’s frustrating when he sees a horse coming down the outside, turns and goes “Alright mate, nice to see you” and continues at the one pace.

He has a serious chance, and if you dont want to do the double, consider doing Chocamoca each way, he should be an EW bet to nothing.

Sunday 5th May Horse Racing Tips

Hmm. Both my selections went down in flames yesterday, not the best day in terms of punting. It was a joy to watch Dawn Approach destroy his opposition, some well touted horses are still running i think, that’s how bad they were. The O’Brian trio were major flops, and Hannon’s “good thing” couldn’t hold a candle to Dawn Approach, despite reassuring us he’ll win the 2000 guineas. Canford Cliffs anyone? He was meant to win the 2009 2000 guineas, but got beat by a 33-1 shot! Oh and he was meant to beat Frankel in the 2011 renewal of the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood. Couldn’t hold a candle to Frankel either.

What i’m saying is, ignore the hype were possible, trainers telling us their going to win isnt a good sign. Over confidence. I’d rather a trainer keep quiet and be super confident amongst his friends as opposed to telling the world!

Blerb over. Time to start making some money.

Hot Snap1000 Guineas – 3:50 Newmarket 11/4 Bet365

What’s not to like about Hot Snap. Blisteringly fast times against Sky Lantern last time out, was a bit green and actually off the bridle 2 furlongs out, but when she got the hang of things she shot off like a rocket. Instantly went 4-1 from 25-1 to win the guineas based on that performance, and, to be honest, i can see why. Very impressive. Issues? Well, inexperience is one, greenness is another. In the context of this race today, the opposition is decent but not great enough that she cant overcome what’s put in front of her. If she races like she did in the Nell Gynn, she wins.

A suggested bet is 16-1 Stanjames Hot Snap to win 1000 Guineas & The Oaks. I’ve filled my boots on that one.

My coverbet will be What A Name, from guineas winning french duo Mikel Delzangles and Christophe Lemaire.

Horse Racing Tips – Winning Bet

I had a massive winner today with two great runs on good but fast ground. The Betcirca Tipsy Tipser was in form and told me on Skype to get on these horses, so I put them in to a cheeky double and boom it paid off.

I really fancy Roz for a place in the QIPCO 1000 Guineas tomorrow. I watched this lovely lady run in her maiden at Sandown and she romped home to win me well over £1000 as I backed her at 33/1 with a good old £50 note. I would highly recommend her for a place in tomorrows QIPCO 1000 Guineas. May be put Roz in to a cheeky forcast or even tricast with What A Name and Hot Snap.

Guineas weekend – Horse Racing Tips

Two big races take place this weekend, firstly, the 2000 guineas. On Sunday we are treated to the 1,000 guineas.

There are two horses i fancy very strongly, and unfortunately they are fairly obvious. Months ago i put Dawn Approach up at 7-2 to win the 2000 guineas, he’s now as short as evens in places. This unbeaten Godolphin horse trained by Jim Bolger is going for 7 wins out of 7 here. No prep run would normally concern, but when you consider the facilities available to trainers to train horses in race course conditions, i wouldn’t be too put off by this.

Toronado won impressively last time out and saw his price get slashed as a result. Richard Hughes was very vocal in saying this is the best horse in Hannon’s yard and he’ll have an exceptional chance of winning the 2000 guineas. I do rate him as a serious danger, and i will be doing reverse forecasts with Dawn Approach as a result of this. Nothing else in the race even tickles my fancy. I’ve done a small bet on George Vancouver, but i cant realistically see him holding a candle up to these two.

In the 1,000 guineas i can only focus on one horse. Hot Snap. I backed Sky Lantern big when Hot Snap beat him, my bank balance is still crying as a result. As soon as i saw the horse win i was convinced she was the one for the 1,000 guineas. I am going to leave that there, apart from What A Name, i cannot see this horse getting beat, i really cant. The 11/4 on offer now looks juicy.

Suggested bets:

Dawn Approach & Hot Snap double 8.92 Skybet
Dawn Approach to beat Toronado FC

Hot Snap to win 1,000 Guineas & Oaks 14-1 Paddy Power

All i would say is, i really fancied Camelot & Maybe last year, and did a tasty double. Camelot won, and Homecoming Queen popped up and caused a 25-1 shock in the the 1,000 guineas. I find it difficult to comprehend something similar to that happening this time. I may have blinkers on, but i still seriously think these two horses are the real deal.

Thursday 2nd May Horse Racing Tips

Well, what a day we had yesterday! I hope you got on the singles and the double. The drift meant we got paid at over 10-1!

Today we’re going to put up another cheeky double.

Hamoody 16:00 Redcar – 6/5 Bet365

Dandy Nicholls has a great strike rate in claimers, a cool 36%. This horse has been dictating the all weather scene over the past few months, with 3 wins out of 6 claimers. When you consider the opposition he has today he has a great chance. These lot have been all over the place recently. Let’s hope he enjoys turf as much as he does the all weather.

Mission Approved – 16:50 Lingfield 13/8 Bet365

Ryan Moore takes this ride for the Sir Michael Stoute Dansilli colt. Improved from a fair Kempton maiden to win class 5 maiden at Warwick. That day Mission Approved was headed over 3f out, and battled back to ease to victory within the final furlong. There is a 5lb rise for that, but any hints at progression should eliviate any rise in the weights. Khobaraa rates as the main danger, winning a class 6 maiden on debut for John Gosdan.

We’re happy with Mission Approved to continue improving, so we’ll take a chance with him.

Wednesday 1st May Horse Racing Tips

Good old Mubtadi, did us yet another favour. That’s the 3rd time he’s got up for us, another cheeky hands and heels ride by Thomas Brown who oozed confidence. Awesomeness.

There are two horses i quite like today, cheeky double maybe?

Rockalong – NAP – 16:45 Ascot – 11/4 VCBet

This horse was tipped up by us before, and went off a well backed favourite at Kempton last time out. He won the race in some style under todays pilot and despite a 5lb rise in the weights, and a switch to turf(slight lie, his maiden was on turf where he was tailed off, this is his first proper attempt at turf in a higher grade), he could be progressing quite nicely.

Stuccodor – NB – 17:15 Tipperery – 11/8 Bet365

A nicely progressive horse that turned a 10f race at Leopardstown into a precession last time. He handles testing ground and while he would probably prefer a longer trip, this shorter distance tonight shouldn’t inconvenience him and has to be strongly considered for this contest.

VCBet £10 double pays £84.38 – Sounds good to us!
