Daily Racing Tips Tuesday 19th March 2013

Well, Red Ramesses was a disappointing NB for us yesterday, but Flambrough Breeze was by far the most disappointing. When watching the race i felt he wouldn’t get there due to being too far back, but my word, he fairly flew home and was only foiled by the gambled on Tadabeer (14-1 into 7-2) by half a length. Nevermind, we can’t win them all?

Still trying to get used to the come down after Cheltenham. Multiple grade 1 races to modest class 6 affairs on the all weather, this will take a while.

Today I am going to focus on the jumps at Exeter, and for a change, I’m going to put up a double.

2:00 Exeter – Lauberhorn 6/4 VC

3:00 Exeter – Jump City 1/1 VC

5.25-1 Double

Lauberhorn came right back to form last time out picking up a handicap at Huntingdon by 9 lengths. No one noticed this win as it happened during Cheltenham, but it really was a taking performance. Jump City should be a better horse than he actually is. Once upon a time it was expected this horse would go onto great things, but it hasn’t materialised. This is a 2 horse race between it and Dare me, and for that reason alone, i have to side with Jump City (who’s at least won a few times recently against a place animal).

We advise 3 pts @ 5.25-1 on VC. Happy days!

Daily Horse Racing Tips – Kempton All Weather

Well, wasn’t last week profitable? If you followed our Cheltenham tips you’d be up thousands!

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, we now need to wait another year for Cheltenham 2014, and I for one, cannot wait.

I’ve found two bets worth doing tomorrow, both on the all weather at Kempton.

NAP

Flamborough Breeze, 15:20 Kempton best odds 9/4 Paddy Power

This horse won 3 on the bounce then got beaten by a head last time out when he switched venues to Lingfield. Back at the course where he’s won 3 of his last 4, he can make it 4 out of 5 tomorrow. He was backed from 6/4 into 4/6 last time he ran at Kempton, in a pretty competitive race. He cut through the 13 opponents like a knife through butter, on the bridle, to win by nearly 2 lengths. He did this carrying an extra 6 pounds penalty. When he lost by a head at Lingfield, he was carrying an extra 12lbs on top of that! Sensational performance given the fact the handicapper had his say.

He races off 9s 5lb today, which is a whopping 9lbs less than when he won at Kempton the last time. The reason for this is he’s up in grade from class 6 to 5, but I fancy him to get back to winning ways regardless.

NB

Red Ramesses 17:20 Kempton best odds 7/2 Bet365

I love horses in form, and Red Ramesses is one of them. Going for 3 wins on the trot tomorrow, he has a 8lb rise in the weights to contend with, but when you factor in that Chevise is the 2nd favourite at 6-1, you can be confident of a bold bid for the hat trick. Chevise ended a 24 race losing streak to get up at Lingfield last time by a head. Red Ramesses is lightly raced in comparison having only his first race this time last year, 11 runs, 2 wins, 2 placed efforts. With Luke Morris onboard, i am confident this horse can get the hattrick tomorrow.

A cheeky double on the two perhaps? Don’t mind if i do.

Cheltenham Festival 2013 – Day Three Tips

Well, yesterday was a bit of an epic failure. A few of the horses sneaked into places at big prices but overall, it was one of the worst days of Cheltenham for punters. How disappointing.

Today picks up nicely however, we have lots of juicy races to get our teeth into. I will continue to side with Arabella Boy in the last race (the Cross Country), I outlined his chances in the day 1 preview I wrote.

My 2nd bet is a forecast in the 2:40, Cue Card 1st and First Lieutenant 2nd. This to me is a two horse race. First Lieutenant loves it at Cheltenham but in recent times he’s almost always found one too good. That one today, could be Cue Card. The horse has won some great races up to now, beating Captain Chris last time out (who lines up in the Gold Cup) and Finians Rainbow (Albeit a very poor run from last years Cheltenham Festival winner). The horse loves to bowl along in front, and his 2nd to Sprinter Sacre last year at Cheltenham is looking quite good. Not forgetting his short head defeat to the Gold Cup favourite at Newbury in 2011.

You can get around 11.53 on Bet365 right now on the forecast (Cue Card to beat First Lieutenant) – I’d suggest a cover on the latter horse beating Cue Card just in case he gets his nose in front today.

You may want to follow me on on this bet, but only go small!

Dynaste, Ely Brown, Cue Card, Oscar Whisky, Kapga De Cerisy, No Secrets, Arabella Boy.

I would go each way on all these multiples.
