The less said about Tuesdays tips the better.. Elusive hawk got turned over at 4/11 – Shocking. We got 10/11 in the morning and thought we were onto a good thing, but alas, all good runs come to an end (unless you’re Frankel).
Rockalong – Kempton 7:00 – NAP 4/1 Bet365
Usually I wouldn’t nap a horse that Fallon rides. Not a fan of the jockey, and he seems to turn up just to collect a paycheck (harsh I know, but some of his latest rides have left a lot to be desired). This horse is up in class, but he won his class 6 handicap with something up his sleeve, which shows potential improvement. There are a few useful sorts in this race. The dogs are barking for Net Whizz, although I’m happy to take it on. The ever consistent and blog regular Flamborough Breeze is taking a minor rise in class and his form this season is impressive, 3 wins, 2 2nds, 1 3rd and a poor 9th placed effort, if you want an EW horse in this race, you could do much worse than Flamborough Breeze at 10-1 on Skybet.
Despite it being a tough race, we’re happy to stick with Rockalong and see if he can continue his upward curve. This Rock Of Gibraltar colt could potentially turn into a useful sort.
Upton Meads – Fontwell 5:20 – NB 4/1 Bet365
This horse turned up at Plumpton in a class 5 handicap in January at 40-1 and caused a bit of a shock by winning, since then he’s won 2 from 4. He won around Fontwell 3 starts ago over 2 furlongs less of a distance. As you know, I’m a bit fan of horses showing form, especially in tricky handicaps, the fact Upton Mead carries 10-13 with the jockies claim puts him bang in contention. In with a shout.
