The tipsy Tipster is back with his daily selections. With Royal Ascot just around the corner, we’re going to attempt to build as big a bankroll as possible to attack Royal Ascot with all the force it deserves. Boom or bust time.
There are a few horses of interest racing today, so i’ll be putting up a nice little double and a cheeky single!

Smalib Monterg 15:35 Nottingham & Super Collider 19:10 Uttoxeter
Smalib Monterg is a decent jumps horse trying flat again in search of his first win. He was well punted last time as if defeat wasn’t possible. He ended up bumping into two experienced sorts at this level and consequently finished 2 1/2 lengths back in 3rd. Today’s race is a superb opportunity to pay back his supporters as the opposition are much of a muchness. It could prove too classy for this lot.
Super Collider takes on Descaro again here after a 3 length victory last time out at Worcester last week. Not Til Monday was expected to rack up the hatrick last time, but after a mistake 3 out, soon found himself beaten. He carries an extra 5lbs and is ridden by Tony McCoy, so will have his supporters. We’re happy to stick with Super Collidr to confirm form with Descaro, and put Not Til Monday in his place. Paddy Brennan gets a right tune out of this 6 year old.
In with a shout: Lilys Angel 7/2 Betfred Leopardstown 18:55pm
I think saying this is in with a shout is a massive understatement. Reply, is short due to his connections and the jockey on-board. He won a listed race last time out, after spending much of the last 12 months as a pacemaker in group 1 races for the stable. Lilys Angel on the other hand, is a group 3 winner at Lingfield(turf). A listed winner (beating Stirring Ballad) at Kempton, a winner in Meydan and a creditable 4th in a group 2 fillies race at Meydan behind Sajjhaa, Prussian and Igugu (albiet, beaten a long way, outclassed ultimately, much like Reply is at this sort of level). Last time out at the Curragh in a group 3 race she was beaten by Chigun, who absolutely demolished the field and proved value at the skinny 11/8 on offer. The thought just occurred to me that that was Sir Henry Cecil’s last group winner prior to his death, rest in peace big man.
